Create a $1M Internet Biz: Part 4 What’s Your Online Persona?

Posted in Business, Uncategorized with tags , , , , , , on December 1, 2008 by wealthwithinu

Your climb to the top...

Your climb to the top...

As promised, this blog is the fourth in our series regarding how you can create a million dollar business on the Internet.  So far we’ve discussed having a proven system (you don’t have to reinvent the wheel), choosing a high-quality, high-ticket item or product, and thinking outside the box for marketing strategies.

Don’t think that these have to happen in this exact order.  Some of them may happen simultaneously.  However, when it comes to marketing – it is happening all the time, every day.  This is a rule that must not be broken: Never stop marketing!

If you find yourself getting weary because you’re not seeing the results you want, that’s when you buckle down and market even more.  It’s at that very moment that you will begin to experience your breakthrough.

And within your marketing strategy, you will begin to develop your online persona.  Your goal is to become an accepted leader in your niche.  This will happen when you are consistent.

Because you have set a big goal for yourself (your million dollar business), you realize this will not happen overnight.  Little by little, you will make inroads and you will create your own personal identity.

So what is your identity?  In what areas do you have expertise and abilities that can be of service to others?  How can you promote yourself?

My special identity tells people that I am the Ten-Figure Guru or the Ten-Figure Guide.  My specialty is that I enjoy helping people add extra zeroes to their income!  What will your specialty be?

Let’s say you’ve found the company that offers the best products (high-ticket items), that has best systems in place, and that offers solid support.  The company has proven that customers will pull out their credit cards and happily pay big bucks for these products.  Now your goal is to move yourself into a leadership position within the parameters of this online business.

I can just hear it now – many of you are muttering under your breath:  “If I do find such a program, they’ll already have all the strong leaders in place.  They won’t need me.”

You know what I call that?  Scarcity thinking.  You need to meditate on Zig Ziglar’s famous quote:  “There’s Room at the Top”

Never in the history of marketing and commerce has it ever been so accessible to reach so many people.  If you go through these steps as I’ve outlined them here, soon your name, your face, and your voice will be in front of thousands and millions of people.  There is most definitely room for you to become a known leader in your field!

As you build your business, concentrate on maintaining integrity and consistency.  Your good reputation is only as good as your word.  For instance, if you begin a blog and abandon it after about three months, you have become inconsistent, and your integrity has been compromised.  That will never get you to the million dollar income you’re after.

Set your sights high, go after your goals with passion, and you will make it!  Very soon you’ll be known – and trusted.  People love to do business with people whom they know and trust!  That has been true for centuries.

I hope you’ve enjoyed this 4-part series and that you’ve learned a few pointers.  And if you’ve hung around this blog site long enough for me to have earned your trust, let me help you in your quest for that million dollar business.  Check out my site here:  www.10figureguru.com

Create a $1M Internet Biz: Part 3 Marketing that WORKS!

Posted in Business with tags , , , , , , on November 26, 2008 by wealthwithinu

We are now in Part 3 of our 4-part series on how to build a million dollar business on the Internet, and you may be a little surprised that we are talking about marketing.  You will remember that in Part 1, I suggested that you look for a business that will remove you from the selling part of the business.  A program that will provide incredible systems already in place.  And that is very true.  But here’s the catch – you have now set a huge goal for yourself, and that means you will want to think of “outside-the-box” type marketing strategies.  And here’s how that can happen.

When you begin working with a business opportunity that has systems in place, and the products are high-income-generating products, that means you will have ROI (return on investment) coming in rather quickly.

Your next step will be to take this cash flow and funnel it back into your business to finance your powerful marketing strategies.  Remember, if you spend all of your income, you’ll fail to reach your goal of creating a million dollar internet business.  Re-invest the money back into your business.

Now let’s look at a few “outside-the-box” marketing strategies:

Direct mail pieces.  With all the technology available today, has direct mail become extinct?  Actually, no.  Direct mail is still a viable marketing avenue.  Postcards are especially popular because the recipient has no envelope to open.  You can find direct mail companies who design, print and mail your piece, and will also supply you with targeted mail lists.

Magazine advertising.  Because of your new cash flow, you can afford to invest in an attractive magazine ad.  (Consider magazines such as Entrepreneur Magazine.)  Unlike a newspaper, magazines are seldom thrown away.  Months from now, someone can pick up a copy, read your ad, and log onto your website.

Pay Per Click.  Pay per click gets a lot of bad press online.  This is because when not done correctly, it can waste money.  But if you spend time studying this advertising venue, you’ll see that it can be a vital part of your marketing puzzle.  Pay per click is available through Google, Yahoo, MSN and other search engines.  (If you will allow me to be your mentor, this is an area where I can help – in selecting and purchasing the best key words.)

Web 2.0.  This strange term doesn’t give any hints as to its true meaning.  Web 2.0 simply refers to social networking online.  It could include articles, blogs, personal videos, sales pages, backlinks, My Space, and FaceBook just to name a few.  If your URL appears in all these different networking venues, it won’t be long before exponential exposure will begin to occur.  Soon your name, your identity, your persona will be all over the net.

And in our 4th and last blog in this 4-part series, we’ll talk about developing your own special identity!

Create a $1M Internet Biz: Part 2 High-Quality, High-Ticket Items ONLY

Posted in Business with tags , , , , , on November 25, 2008 by wealthwithinu

In our last blog we talked about how to start out building a million dollar business on the Internet. We determined that the first step was to find a business that offered you a turnkey system. In this second part, we’ll discuss what you are going to promote.

Finding your niche – this is where most newbies get bogged down and experience the worst discouragement.  You’ve no doubt heard the word niche, especially if you’ve been looking at different biz opps out there.  This simply refers to the category of business you will focus on.

Since there are so many thousands and thousands of products and services online, how in the world will you ever choose the right one?  It would take months just to get it all sorted out.

The most important thing in finding the right niche, which surprises most people, comes down to the market and not the actual product.  What is the market telling you?  What do people want and need?  What are they willing to pay for?  You want products and services that people are not only passionate about, but that they are willing to shell out the money for.  It’s no good if people are not buying.

In order to build a million-dollar business, you will need to focus on high-quality, high-ticket products or services.  That is a must.

So what do I mean by high-ticket?  Let’s look at it this way.  The businesses in which you’ve previously been involved, you probably thought a $50 or $100 net was doing great.  This is because you compared those to the $15 – $20 range where you first started out.

There’s nothing wrong with these figures.  It means you’ve been out there working – learning the ropes.  Getting familiar with online marketing.  But now your goals have changed.  Remember, you are not simply setting out to have a successful Internet business.  Your goal is to have a million dollar business.  It’s time to change your vision and your outlook.

            So how high is high?

Well, before this you may have thought that a $400 item was a high-ticket item.  Scratch that!  In order for you to build a million dollar business, you are now looking for products or services that run into the thousands.

You read that right.  You are now on the lookout for an opportunity that when you make one sale, you will be netting at least $1,000 or higher.

And remember too, they must be products that people want and will pay for.  And just in case you think there’s no such opportunity out there, think again.  It’s right here:

Create a $1M Internet Biz: Part 1 Have a Powerful System

Posted in Business, Uncategorized with tags , , , , on November 24, 2008 by wealthwithinu

tigershome

You’re going to love these next four blog entries.  I am writing a 4-part series to help you create an online business that will help make you a millionaire.  This series is only for committed, serious-minded online entrepreneurs.

(However, if you’re neither committed NOR serious-minded, perhaps you will become so if you keep on reading! Who knows what might happen!)

So if I’m guiding you to create a $1M internet business, you’re probably wondering if I really believe such a business is possible.  And the answer to that question is, Absolutely I believe it’s possible!  I’m living proof.

And I want to show you how!

Let me begin by asking you a few pertinent questions:

  • Do you have the time or the desire to figure out how to market and generate leads?
  • Do you have money to spend on a leads list and then take the chance that it’s a viable list?
  • Do you enjoy selling, telling, explaining, convincing, and closing sales?
  • Do you dream of being a sales person?

If you’re like most people I talk to, your vehement answer is NO!  That means you need to find a business that requires none of the above.

Many of you reading this blog have already been out there getting the hard knocks on the Internet trying to get a business up and running.  Does this sound like your pattern of action –

First, you spend time with article marketing (somewhere you read that that works).  Then you heard about advertising in ezines – everyone is reading ezines these days.  Then you discovered social networking so you scurried about setting up profiles in as many social network sites as possible.  By now you’re getting overwhelmed and each day you’re confused about where to channel your energies.  You know you need to create an email marketing campaign, and you would like to study copywriting to write a really good sales page. And what about the world of joint ventures – that sounds promising as well.

Are you making progress or running around in circles?

Will this kind of system work?  Actually it can – and it has.  But do you have that kind of time and money to spend?

The fact is, you don’t need to go through all of these steps because it’s already been done for you.  What you need – whether you know it or not – is a tried and trusted system that does all the work for you.  You want a system that removes YOU from the sales process.  You want a system that creates the necessary professional website, and the winning sales letters, and has the autoresponder systems already in place.

And one other detail.  The business opportunity that I work with will provide sales professionals to call your leads and close your sales for you!  Now that’s the kind of system you need!

Check this out and see what you think: www.10figureguru.com

This is the kind of system that will set you on the path to creating your million dollar business!

CNN == Constant Negative News

Posted in motivation with tags , , , on November 21, 2008 by wealthwithinu

cnn

Are you as amazed as I am at all the loser clichés we’re hearing these days through the media?  You know the ones:

  • We’re all washed up
  • We’re circling the drain
  • We’re going down the tubes
  • We’re facing an economic crisis of giant proportions
  • We’ll never recover from this one – it’s the worst ever
  • We’ve never seen anything like this before

There the same clichés that losers have been using throughout history.  When the crises hit you have a choice.  You can join in with the losers and cry that the “sky is falling” along with the other Chicken Littles, or you can rise up and make good things happen in your life.

If all the bad news about our current economic “problems” is causing fear in your life, ask yourself “why.”  Why would you want to go in the direction of fear?  Panic, fear, stress, anxiety and dread are all first cousins.  Have you ever noticed that they like to hang with those who agree to be good “hosts”!

Notice the word agree.  That is no typo.  Whether you believe it or not, you DO have a choice in the matter.  You can run with all the other Chicken Littles, or you can choose not to.  You can choose to entertain fear and dread, or you can choose not to.  When fear and panic come in, creativity and clear thinking fly out the window.  They don’t mix well at all.

What to do?  My suggestion to those with whom I counsel – is to stop looking at what you don’t have.  (Perhaps you no longer have as big a 401k, you no longer have what you used to in your portfolio, you no longer have any job security…)  But what DO you have?  Start there!

Do you have a desire to better yourself?  Do you want to succeed?  Do you want to get out of the pit of despair?  Do you want to use this seemingly adverse set of economic circumstances as a stepping stone to something better?

It’s inventory time.  Make a list of what you have – both tangibles and intangibles!

If you have a computer and an internet connection, you’re already miles ahead.  Because people (just like me) are making great sums of money every day on the Internet?  You can too.

But be careful because there are many scams out there.  You may have already learned that.  Here are the guidelines I encourage you to follow in looking for a great online opportunity:

  • A turnkey business that has a system already in place
  • A business that offers highly professional replicated website and marketing tools
  • A business that offers much in the way of support
  • A business that allows you to work with a successful mentor
  • A business that promotes high-ticket products and services  ( this is important – because you want as big a return as possible)

The business in which I am involved meets all these criteria. Learn more about it here:  www.10figureguru.com

You will find that once you become proactive in your own life, those cousins named panic, fear, stress, anxiety and dread will move out of your house and out of your life.

And the neat thing is that Chicken Little will follow right along with them!

Those sore losers can’t stand a lack of attention.

“Joe the Plumber, Do You Need a Raise?”

Posted in Business, motivation with tags , , , , , on November 17, 2008 by wealthwithinu

The term “Joe the Plumber,” has raced through cyberspace like a wildfire through dry timber.  (Ever wished you could get that much online exposure that fast?  Me too!)

Why do you think the persona of this guy has attracted so much attention?  I think it’s because “Joe is us.”  He is all of us.  And all of us, all across this great nation of ours, are hurting.  We are feeling the pinch.

Whether it’s a shrinking 401k, a shrinking dollar, a shrinking business base, or a shrinking stock portfolio, many are wondering if there will ever be “good times” again.

Every “Joe” and “Jane” across the country is tired of all the bad news.  And I’m here to say that it’s time for all the Joes and Janes to get a raise!

Before I explain how the raise can come about, let’s take a look at why Joe and Jane are barely keeping afloat – even before a national “economic crisis.”  This, of course, is an abbreviated list:

·         The average American family of four with a median income of $47,012 pays $10,250 in federal taxes; $6,110 in state and local taxes; hitting a total “tax liability” of $16,360

·         Average childcare costs – $7000 per year

·         Gasoline – $1200 per year

·         Hundreds spent on dry cleaning, and a go-to-work wardrobe

·         Lunches at work $2000

·         Auto insurance – $500

·         Auto maintenance (oil, tires)

·         Parking $1800 – $5 per day

·         General across-the-board cost of living hike – paying more for groceries and staple items

If you are that ordinary Joe or that ordinary Jane, I’ve got some good news for you.  Financial abundance can be as close as your own kitchen table – especially if a laptop is sitting there.  The world is at your fingertips, and global commerce is yours for the taking.

The key is to stop looking for financial independence in your JOB.  It may have been there for your grandparents, and perhaps even your parents, but that security has vanished.  It is no longer in existence.

But you may be wondering if anyone can really make a decent income online.  If you’ve been a regular visitor to this blog, you’ll know that my answer is a resounding YES!

The key is to get connected with an online business that is turnkey (has a tried and tested marketing system in place) – so you don’t have to learn an entire new profession.  You want something that will have you up and running quickly.

You will also want a business that is solid without a lot of hype and noise.  One that has stood the test of time.  Let me help guide you to a business that fits that description!

One other note to all the Joes and Janes out there: in order to get the raise you deserve, work only with online businesses that promote high-ticket products and services.  It takes the same amount of time to promote high-ticket items as it does $15 or $20 items.  So why not opt for the former?  Profits will mount up faster and in greater proportion.  That’s where your real raise will come from!

You’ll find all the information right here:  www.10figureguru.com.  Let me help guide you through to find that raise that you so deserve!

Franchise Seekers, Why Settle For 20%?

Posted in Business with tags , , , , on November 14, 2008 by wealthwithinu

franchiseWow!  I’ve never before heard so many people talking about searching for alternative ways to earn an income.  Jobs are so iffy these days.  The shaky economy spells layoffs and downsizing for many businesses – which means you may be one of those who now have little or no job security.

For those looking for a more independent way to earn a living, perhaps you’ve looked as the possibility of owning your own franchise.

The variety of franchise opportunities is vast, ranging from advertising, to elder care, to mail centers, to hotels, to restaurants, to car washes, to cleaning and maintenance.  In almost any area of business, there is probably a franchise in place to represent it.  And the advantage is that the identity of the company is already established.  Corporate support is available and the marketing system is in place.  Owning a franchises is sort of like owning a little bit of America.

But is there a downside to being a part of a franchise?  The answer is a definite yes, and you should look long and hard at such an undertaking before stepping out and making that huge investment.  Here are a few points to remember about becoming a owner of a franchise:

  • Most franchises cost tens of thousands of dollars to acquire.  It may take anywhere from 3 to 5 years to operate in the black.
  • Even though you own the business, you answer to the franchiser.  They rule and what they say goes.
  • Royalties are paid to the franchiser regardless of whether or not your business is making a profit at the time.  You are paying for the right to use the name and the system.  (This is required even if the company does not deliver what they promised.)
  • Some franchises require that you pay into an ongoing advertising fund – since national and international advertising may be involved.

·         For the most part, you must follow company procedures. If you are the type of person who wants to create your own systems, set your own rules, and shape a company into your own vision, then you may not be suited to be a franchise owner.

·         Your franchise agreement can be terminated at any time for any reason, in which case the original investment could be lost.

·         You may have to work a shift or two yourself, if your minimum wage employees fail to show up.

Personally, it’s difficult for me to imagine anyone wanting that degree of entanglement, and to make that big of an investment when you can enter into a solid online business for so much less.  And why settle for a small percentage of the income from a franchise when you can operate an online business and have it all?

I have to admit to being a little biased, because I am pretty pumped about having my own successful business on the web.  But just for clarification, let me share a few pluses for having your own online business:

·         Small initial outlay (miniscule in comparison with a franchise)

·         Which means – no ongoing massive indebtedness

·         No high-percentage royalties to pay

·         No headache of hiring and firing employees (and keeping them working)

·         No demand to be at the place of business

·         Perpetual, passive income with a smaller amount of time investment

·         Freedom to exercise your own business judgment

·         Can be operated from any location – as long as you have Internet connection

Perhaps you’ve been looking at, and considering the purchase of a franchise because you never really dreamed that you could pull down a significant income from an online business.

I’m living proof that you can indeed make big bucks online, and I can help you do it.  I can help guide you to the right vehicle, the right niche, and the right system to make it happen.  Click here to learn more:  www.10figureguru.com

Dear Stay At Home Mom, How Does An Extra 15K Per Month Sound?

Posted in motivation with tags , , , , on November 11, 2008 by wealthwithinu

picture-070My blog today is specifically aimed at all of you Stay-At-Home-Moms. Your number is legion, and that number is growing rapidly.

It seems a little ironic that even though the economy is rocky, still and yet more and more women are choosing to stay at home and be homemakers and raise their own children (rather than letting someone else do it).

Statistics vary, but an article in USA Today stated that there are at least 5.4 million women in the US who have chosen to leave the “go-to-work” rat race and stay at home.  Some in that number may work part-time, some may have small side jobs, and still others are making money on the Net.

Whatever the numbers, it is a known fact that even those mothers who feel they must go to work are not as happy there as their predecessors were twenty or thirty years ago.

While at home many of you moms start browsing the net looking for “bargains” (such as coupons, freebies, and used items).  From there you may have become involved a marketing “survey.”  If you were lucky enough to get a freebie in the mail, now you’re hooked – you’re ready to do that again.

From there, you may have decided to actually join up with a survey business opportunity.  Now the possibility of earning a few extra bucks a week online becomes more viable.

In the blogs and forums I’ve read, this seems to be a sort of “natural flow of events” for SAHMs.  Maybe it’s been true in your life as well.  But then, you find still other ways to make an income online. It may be an eBay store, or a website to sell your crafts, or a product to sell for someone else, such as affiliate marketing.

But this is what puzzles me.  If you were previously in corporate America and you were working hard to pull down the highest salary possible, why are you now satisfied with a few measly dollars here and there?  What changed?  Where did the momentum go?

Perhaps no one has ever challenged you to earn big bucks online.  If that’s true, then consider the challenge issued here and now on this blog!  I’m telling all you SAHMs that it is possible for you to earn 15k a month with an online business!

I’m challenging you to stop spending your time with the nickels and dimes and set your sights higher – much higher.

What you will need is the right vehicle, the right mentor, the right products (high ticket items) and the right marketing system in place. Using the very same investment of time that you have with the smaller income opportunities, $15k a month can be a reality in your life.

And the funny thing is, corporate America doesn’t have a clue.

Is It YOUR Future or Not?

Posted in Leadership, Uncategorized with tags , , , , , on November 6, 2008 by wealthwithinu

If your future is your future, then why are you leaving it to chance?  Think how fast time is slipping by.  Think about five years ago.  Did you think then that you would be where you are today?  Were you planning for today back then?

You are either taking control of your own future, or you are drifting aimlessly.  There’s really no in between.  Drifting along means you are at the mercy of all of the turmoil, confusion, and adverse circumstances of life.  If you have no plan and are moving in no certain direction, any obstacle can knock you totally out of the game.

But if you have a plan in place to achieve your dreams then you defy the obstacles that try to stand in your way.  You are so intent on reaching your goals, when obstacles do arise you simply climb over, go around, tunnel through, or explode it into a million pieces to carry on with your plan.  (Don’t you love it? That thought alone should bring a smile to your face!)

Let’s get practical.  I’m challenging you to take control of your own future.  But you’re asking, “How do I do that?”

You do it by taking each day into your own hands.  And throughout the course of each day, you take each decision into your own hands.  You are the one who decides how you will act, how you will react, how you will think, how you will plan, and what decisive actions you will take.

“It is in your moments of decision that your destiny is shaped.”

 ~ Anthony Robbins

If you are one of my regular readers, you know that I challenge you to change your thinking patterns. That’s because people who are filled with doubt and fear (fear-filled thoughts) are chained to those fears.  The only way to overcome them is to stop running away and turn around and face them.

When Jim Stovall (author of The Ultimate Gift; founder of Narrative Television Network) totally lost his eyesight (he’d been slowly going blind for 12 years), he prepared to cocoon in a room in his house, insulated against all that he was afraid of out there in the world.  In his book You Don’t Have to be Blind to See, Jim tells that he was scared to go out his front door.  ”I was more scared than I had ever been in my life,” he confessed.

One day it hit him!  He asked himself this life-changing question: “Would I rather sit here until I die or die in trying to do something other than sit here?” Today this Emmy-award winner has touched millions of lives for the better.  And one of his favorite sayings is: “You change your life when you change your mind.”

My message to you is, if this blind man faced his fear and changed his thinking – so can you!  Begin today!  What one thing can you do today to move toward where you want to be — toward the new you?

Take one step.  Read one book.  Listen to one teaching CD.  Research one online business.  Then tomorrow, take the second step.  The next day, take the third step.  Soon momentum will begin to build, and build.  You’ll be so busy moving forward, you’ll forget to be afraid.

If you keep this up, soon the control of your future will be firmly in your hands!

“You control your future, your destiny. What you think about comes about.

By recording your dreams and goals on paper, you set in motion the process of becoming the person you most want to be.

Put your future in good hands – your own.”

~ Mark Victor Hansen

Retire to Wal-Mart’s Front Door?

Posted in Business with tags , , , , , on November 3, 2008 by wealthwithinu

walmart    Where will your retirement years find you?  Will you be comfortable?  Past comfortable to being financially secure?  Or will you be greeting at the front door of Wal-Mart to make ends meet?

Don’t get me wrong.  There’s nothing wrong with working for Wal-Mart if that’s what you want to do.  If you’re bored, you like meeting people and just want to get out of the house.  But if you have to have that job to make it, that’s a different story entirely.

No matter if you are young or not-so-young, or somewhere in between it’s never too soon (or too late) to plan for your latter years.

Such planning is usually thought of as financial planning; however, I see it as planning for mental, emotional, and physical health as well.  What good is it to be financially secure if you’re too sick to enjoy it?

“If I’d known I was going to live so long, I’d have taken better care of myself.”

- Leon Eldred

Here are the results of a recent survey of 1,000 people between the ages of 45 and 75.  I find the results a little scary.  What about you?

  • Nearly 20 percent have spent “no time” in the past year actively planning for retirement

  • More than 30 percent don’t know what to anticipate for health care needs

  • Sixty-six percent of pre-retirees who have spent time planning for their retirement, spend the same amount or more time on home improvement than on retirement planning

  • Sixty percent spend the same amount or more time planning for their children’s college education.

  • Thirty-one percent would rather clean their bathroom or pay bills than plan for retirement.

Those kinds of results ought to keep Wal-Mart in a good supply of door-greeters for a long time to come.  Rather clean the bathroom?  Really?  Do you agree with this?

You could be preparing for your retirement years today by building cash reserves through one of the online business opportunities that are now available.  Such opportunities are abundant and many don’t require a lot of computer know how.

I like the ones with easy-to-follow systems that lead you step by step to building your own online business – such as Carbon Copy Pro.

Cash flow is only a part of a successful retirement, obviously.  There must be an understanding of trust funds, tax planning strategies, and profitable investment vehicles.  Because gaining wealth is useless if you cannot manage wealth.

How do you view your retirement years?  Is your plan just to “stop working?”  I sure hope not.  I invite you to begin to raise your expectations.  Dream big.  Set secure plans in place.  Plan now for that important part of your life’s journey.

And when you plan ahead and make good preparations, when you get there you’ll find it’s much more fun than cleaning your bathroom!
